A-Z night #9: The Art of Walking

19.03.2019 at 7:30 PM

Walking is an everyday activity., like eating, sleeping and breathing.  Yet since a few centuries, walking has also become a conscious cultural act, an aesthetic program, a form of reflection, or a complex, frequently ambivalent metaphor. During this A-Z night we will walk along practices of urban design, civil engagement, activist photojournalism, performance and sound art.

A-Z night #10: Female Voices in Fashion

23.04.2019 at 7:30 PM

In this #Metoo era the prevailing gender roles are rewritten, also in the world of art, design and fashion. Patronising, marketing stunt or a revolution? This A-Z night focuses on the impact of women on the fashion and design industry. We organize this evening together with Modemuseum Hasselt, in the context of Wonder Women – Strong Women in Fashion, the first exhibition ever on female designers.
