A-Z host: Katharina Smets
Katharina Smets is an independent radiomaker and works for among others VRT, VPRO and BBC. She is working on a doctorate in the arts concerning the audio narrative and develops a.o. live performances and podcasts. Searching for stern stories and sharp insights she will guide you through the A-Z nights.
Illustrator Wide Vercnocke
Wide Vercnocke guarantees a visual report of every night. Live on stage he captures explicit statements and principles in ingenious images. Wide works as a freelance illustrator for among others Knack Focus and Agenda. He published the novels Mijn Muze ligt in de Zetel and Wildvlees in which he connects apparent everyday activities to something bigger.
Report in words and images
Every night will be captured in both words and images. Noortje De la haye and Willem Kissembeek will, together with students of PXL-MAD, create a printed essay of images you receive as soon as you leave the room after the conclusion of the program. Jozefien van Beek will write a reflexive text in response to the discussion of the night.
Program composers: Veerle Devreese and Pien Visser
The A-Z night’s are composed by Veerle Devreese and Pien Visser from creative consultancy Cornelis Serveert. Together with the partners of A-Z Nights they search for fresh perspectives to unravel a theme.
