MAE-LING LOKKO (GH, PH, VS) is bouwkundig technoloog en directeur van het Building Sciences Program aan het Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Haar werk richt zich op het upcyclen van landbouwafval en biopolymeren tot hoogwaardige bouwmaterialen en systemen. Ze wordt geïnspireerd door interdisciplinair onderzoek naar nieuwe generaties biocomposieten en door het hedendaagse upcyclen van afval in Ghana. Haar werk is in 2018 tentoongesteld op Biodesign, Rhode Island School of Design en de Liverpool Biënnale (2018).

MAE-LING LOKKO (GH, PH, US) is an architectural technologist and director of the Building Sciences program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, USA. Her work centers on upcycling agrowaste and biopolymer materials into “high performance” building material systems, and is inspired by emerging interdisciplinary research on next generation biocomposite green materials as well as Ghanaian contemporary waste upcycling. Recent works have been exhibited at Biodesign, Rhode Island School of Design and the Liverpool Biennial (2018).
